What We Offer

Assistant Ministers

At All Saint's our role in the congregational life of the church can also be seen as ministers both in worship and through our daily work. Lay people assist and provide an essential role in the worship services in numerous ways, such as Assisting Ministers, Servers, Readers and Acolytes. The assisting minister assists the Pastor through the worship service in a number of ways including the holding of worship materials, leading of interceding prayers, and assisting with the distribution of communion. Readers lead the congregation through the lessons which includes the reading of the biblical text. Acolytes carrying the processional cross, candles, or bible, in processions to and from the altar. Servers assist the Pastor with the distribution of the communion wine. All confirmands have been offered the opportunity to participate in church services in all positions. A two month rotational model is presently being tried with some positive feedback.
